generally BGA chips (ball grid array - refers to the contact area where the chip meets the board) with the heavy tops (usually a copper heatspreader) go as pinless precessors. The ones with the green fiber base I believe go as green fiber like LoDos said.

how many trays of chips like that do you have?

So both pics of the green ones should be green fibre??

sorry, i should have been a bit more specific... chips with the heavy top will go for less because there is so much weight in the heat-spreader... the color of the base does not matter.

The chips in the top picture are a bit different. Chips with that particular type of 'green-fiber-base/black-epoxy-resin-top' design should go as green fiber. A number of people refer to them as gold corner chips because of the distinctive gold tab they have.

So ur saying the green with the hret the heavy ones should go as pinless processors? And the little tiny ones as ????

i didnt realize those ones were so tiny... i 'think' they would still go as pinless but you would have to ask Chris. I am not too sure how they would handle those as I have never brought them in nor asked them about those kind of chips.

The first photo is definitely green fibre
They are ball grid array chips
As MLS pointed out they are commonly called corner or tab chips because of the gold corner. Soldered surface mount chips come in two designs the bga like the first photo and peg pin PGA (pppga or 3pga). And will always go as green fibre. But you'd have to turn one over to know for sure.

What I think MLS is talking about in the post is Called LGA. Land grid array. They have dozens to hundreds of tiny gold squares on the bottom and almost always a heavy partially integrated spreader.
And it's highly recommended not to attempt to remove the spreader (ceramic pinless without spreader will get pentium ceramic rate) because the vast majority have components as part of the spreader as well. So even if you can remove it without cracking the CPU you reduce the value considerably.

The second photo is bga with a metal spreader, looks like aluminium or shaved copper. These are up to Chris but are probably pinless and may get green fibre with metal. These aren't common enough to get a specific classification and it varies by chip.

The third photo looks to be pppga. Those you need to post a reverse side for me to tell.
