I am a scrapper/collector/refiner and I have two components I recently came across that have me wondering a few things. They were collected from different devices and I will give all available details I have for each.
First, I have a very tiny translucent chip I have recovered from a CD Rom drive. I've got a few of these that are usually pulled near the reader, usually two per drive are present. These have the markings of O2A 4X and have 10 pins, 5 on each side.
Second, I have a component pulled from a 1st generation amazon kindle fire. One side is most covered in either gold plating or flashing, and the other is board covered in small ICs, typical SMDs and maybe a few small crystal oscillators. It has 3 capacitors that look like MLCCs however they are red in color.
Any help is appreciated very much! This is more of a curiosity than anything, lovely drill bit added to the photos for size scale comparison. I have 5 of the plated object and many of the small chip.
