OK, got it figured out. For some reason, three of my pics were larger than 5mB, not sure why, I don't think I did anything different taking them. Not sure how to fix that other than retaking the pics.....

IMG_8513.JPG is/was my first and last attempt to remove a BGA or VGA chip! Hah, what a mess. Won't be doing that again! LOL... Hope I didn't ruin the grade of the board too much. Ah well, live and learn as they say.

8517 peripheral; but may be worth an upgrade when they get it to telco, or may not
8516 yep
8515 still peripheral, just misses making a class jump to Mobo
8514/8516 yep, what ever chance it had of something else was killed by removing the BGA chip, but it's peripheral now.
8511 i'd leave the ic in, this is right on the edge of being to big for a GFC. Other is peripheral
