I’ve got a 4 bladed drone that can run without a controller 2. Once in the air it’s programmed to follow you via a tracker beacon and the on board sensors or an automatic computer program. Although it comes with one anyway so you can do tricks and more complex moves, but other than that it’s fully automatic and requires no assistance. I use it for film and checking stuff on my farm.

Kool. These appear to be getting more and more common of late.
Most people use a RISC micro board (RPi etc) and a $50 hobby kit. Total cost around $75-100.

But there’s a much easier and less expensive way for scrappers.
MTRX makes a $10 six 16 pin socket board.
An old 2x+ CD-Rom
A floppy drive
A low cost serial over BT video game controller
A desk fan.

grab a few $1 EEPROMs from ebay. And a $5 10/16/20 ROM programmer.
Now you need a bit of OpnSrc searching.
You need the Rd-i8080 chip code. That’s the controller.
Open joystick. Covers two simultaneous inputs.
uBSD-terminal OS. The OS
Motor response controller code. Handles the motor.
Wireless IO package (with BT4+) (RedHat or Debian repositories) in binary hex.

Download the free code and program the Roms.
Drill a hole in the centre of the board. Watch to not cut any traces.
Place the motor post through the hole. Measure and cut the post to sit flush to the underside. Place the magnet from the floppy underneath, centred. Solder the motor and magnet to the board.
Solder the power leads for the motor to altP + and -
Plug the USB port into the computer and use your terminal connection to build uBSD and compile the resource roms into the spare controller as a static image.

Unplug everything. Pair your controller to the board. Test the motor speeds.
Most controllers route power on to one button you need to hold. And you can accelerate the speed with a second button. But they vary so testing first before it can fly is important.
Install the blades from the desk fan to the motor.
Attach small wireless cam. (I like Garmin dash cams).
Up up and away!

I’ve obviously left a lot of steps out. For space. I assume if you already built one you could do this fairly easily by fill in the blanks.
Step by step guides are in manpage and readme files in or linked to many of the above packages.

But some quick inexpensive scrap and a low cost i80 board can mimic an expensive drone kit in functionality.

Have fun, try not to die. Or hurt anyone else.

I'm retrofitting a small roofing torch to act as my drones flamethrower. For "home defense purposes". Think Tesla flamethrower, but smaller, which isn't a true flamethrower in the sense of the definition, but good enough.
I do hold an FAA license for drone flight....

Lmao!
Internet of HOT things… :/

Given the OPs posts all being, well, uncommon for here, I figured I’d just answer seriously.

But you, my friend, have gone off the cliff!
Besides, there’s a better way to do this. You could actually mount missiles you know?! Those little compressed butane tanks for cooking torches.
A magnesium charge fuse on the puncture cap. A micro spark plug to set it off.

I read an article in skull quarterly about someone who used those crap cheap clear plastic lighters with standard steel caps as bombs. Dropping them from a few dozen feet or higher they explode.

And now that DHS is reading this thread via AI
I do NOT suggest trying theses methods and this information was speculative ponderings of over active imaginations for entertainment only. Don’t try this at home: it’s probable illegal
