IDK you'd be shocked at the lengths folks are willing to go to discreetly meet up, body or no body.

Ok. Your joke is better than mine. Clearly
You win.

Yep. As you can see the boards are principally analogue. Right at the transition era. The open motor design makes them easy to take apart.
Sadly, there’s just not much there.

The boards, what’s in the photos, look original with no long lead replacements.
You may be motivated for an ebay sale as that could be collectible. All original parts.
Either original or very skilfully repaired.

Thanks for the insights. Not much invested, but the thing does look so impressive it would be a shame to scrap it. Clean enough to set in a game room or office or living room.

So we're giving up on the "Love Booth" idea? Dang..
Well, you could paint it blue like a police public call box, stick it on your lawn and you would have folks stopping to ask you about TARDIS.
Of course, it would have to be bigger on the inside and this doesn't exactly fit the bill...

Shucks, once my imagination gets inside, there is an infinity of nothingness expanded

Lol.
Hey, PSA:
It’s the size of an old tv. Not a phone booth. Unless it has the stand with it. Then it could be a solid phone booth. No college photos in it though.

Actually, the stand probably has some actual value! They sold very poorly as they cost almost the same as the machine.

Lost, it is a six foot tall single metal cabinet with a storage area with door underneath the unit, which occupies the cabinet area from waist high to eye level and since most folks are less than 20 inches across the shoulder, a person could fit into the empty cabinet (but my expanded belt line would not fit easily.) The actual machinery has a plastic cover door framed in Aluminum allowing access to the reels and tape. Access to the working components is thru a full length rear hinged door.

Ok. Now I’m stumped. Both I’ve seen were deep, not tall.
Who knew
