What about cordless phones without backs or batteries would these happen to fall into any specific category ?

Apart, 99% are either midgrade or low peripheral.

You get a screen,
two pieces of PP or ABS-PC
Nickel antenna
Metal shield
Board
Rubber key extender
Nickel plated steel contacts
Battery
PC-PE screen cover
Older phones have some wires.
