Can anyone help me with this. I have looked at the picture of the IC chips/no Dallas switches. First is this the only style of IC chips that is acceptable? Or are the 4 sided and BAG also ok in this category. 4 sided as in the legs. The other thing that I need to know is do the legs have to be all there? The chips in the picture didn't look like they had ever been soldered to a board. I know some just plug into a slot on some boards, kinda like RAM. I have cut off the legs at the solider point of the one's I had done in the past. I'm just trying to find out if I should bother sending them in or not. Thanks everyone
P.S I have used a heat gun in the past but doesn't always work.

The flat BGA chips with no tag go as standard ic chips.
