Hi all, new scrapper and seeking feedback on the following:

1. For very small bits of wire; Can I include essentially any size with "mixed wire?

2. For connector ends with no visible gold (e.g. 3.5 mm headphone jack); are these just trash? Should I remove them before including with mixed wire?

Headphone jacks could be brass. Take a file to them and scratch the plating. Should see yellow tone. Brass is not trash.

I've heard horror stories about ends of cables hurting people in scrap yards, but I've never understood how it happens. So...defer to whoever you take your wire to.

I'm not sure what Boardsort's policy on that is but the intention of connector ends is for connector ends with gold pins.

For me the rest of the connectors stay on the wire as my scrap yards don't require them to be removed.
