So in wishing everyone a happy new year I thought I’d take a moment to show off two year end fires. Both very controlled with my fully knowing what they do. Photo one. A dry cell lithium hearing aid battery plus a small bit of paper to get it to ignite
Pictured second is a LMH battery with a silicone trioxide as an igniter.
Both of these were done with a small amount of aluminium oxide in order to contain the lithium-oxide as a bonding to be disposed of properly.
