With respect to the floppy controller boards.
They are one of the few boards that are exempt from the "curse of the brown board" as we call it at our yard.
Usually, when a board is brown on one side and green on the other, it would be considered a Mid-Grade board. That is the curse of the brown board. Especially when it is "crispy" like a floppy board (meaning easily broken when bent).
However, we will consider a floppy board, AS LONG AS IT STILL HAS THE GOLD PINNED CONNECTOR, as a Peripheral Grade board.
If the connector (the rectangular black socket with all the gold pins in it) is missing it will be Midgrade.
So, in short: Floppy board = Peripheral.
Hope that helps!
Last i was told (and this was years back), floppy boards went in with the CD boards. I've sent my floppy and CD boards in together many times. Also many times (and i always appreciate this), i get a follow up email letting me know what i categorized incorrectly and what was changed. I never received an email in regards to that being incorrect or changed.
Was this just overlooked each time or is this a recent change? I already have those boxed up, weighed, and ready my next shipment with those boards already together as usual.
Please let me know if i should open that box back up. I was planning on submitting my shipment tomorrow.
