I actually found this thing at a yard sale paid $5 for it seems to be made of brass I did grind on it a tiny bit it has some kind of name and the number but I can't find anything about it on the internet at the moment. Any info would be great.

If you decide to scrap it, cut it in half because it might be filled with clay or plaster.

Or another less destructive way of doing this is to look very carefully at it and look for a place where it has a pin going into it, it should most likely be round, but could be square or some other similar shape. It should be a slightly different color than the rest of the casting. It also could be a different type of metal, like iron.

It appears to be either sand cast or a slightly crude lost wax casting. At least the lost wax casting will most likely have clay or plaster in it.

I can’t find anything close. Best guess is a private cast.
The type of thing someone would try in their basement or back yard.
Again. I like to make silver turtles. If tried other animals but they all come out missing body parts. Like feet. Or heads. Lol.
