SIM card where? That little square to the right of the SD slot? I cant quit figure out how to open that without tearing something up. I may try a small flat screw driver tomorrow.

Yes. But you know, that may be a microSD a lot as well.
Looks like there may be a card in there.
If so, push it forward (same direction as the SD card insertion), then let go. Should pop out.

It is a sims card that is not intended to be removed for what ever reason.
Next question is what do I do with the sims card Boardsort doesn't buy them unless they can go in peripheral something.

Nope, not a sim. That’s a micro SD. As I thought on second look.
You see that a lot on mid-range high volume devices. Allows one production line to easily make multiple storage options.

4 gig may be sellable. May not. The sweet spots is 2GB and 512mb on the small side.

Chris does buy SD cards.
Personally I have a drawer full of them. Never know when you need sim strange storage size.
I crack open dead ones.
If your lucky you have a solid piece, memory and gold fingers for low telco.
If not you have a finger board (low telco) and memory board (high peripheral)

But with micro, like this I just send them to Chris in a pill bottle as SD.
You’ll need to email him and ask what the current rate is where to add it to you quote.

I know very little about the different types of HHD's out there. I am hoping to change that fact. Is this one of the more expensive SAS type drives you were talking about lost? If yes, or no even, what makes them worth more? Less? Thank you in advance for the info.

Well, it says SAS but i can’t be sure unless you post the connection ports.

SAS stands for serial attached SCSI, vs SATA which is serial advanced technology attachment. Or serial ATA.

SAS, and SCSI vs ATA, is a more advanced input/output system. It contains many more instructions per operation, at a slightly faster speed.
Thr controller chip is considerably more advanced in design; making SAS drives about double the cost new. They have tighter tolerances in read float. More specific speed rates (7200.116 means just that). And generally are rated for more read/write Operations.

Think of it like the difference between a Chevy suv and a Cadillac.
