Not a battery
If it’s easily removed, one or two connectors, not glued or soldered, remove it. If it’s super super attached ignore it. Use clear packing tape over the screen. LED alpha/numeric screens like the second photo down, can stay. Vacuum tubs screens, however should always be removed and disposed of properly as hazmat. Besides the basic phosphorus and magnesium, you also have iodine and nickel. And if old enough some mercury. So carefully remove vacuum screens or don’t send the board in.
Opinion is variable. I remove them, but I have a low value for my “I’m bored” time.
=============== Well, when the iron or steel weight passes the everything else weight it’s no longer a board. It’s breakage or shred etc.
You wouldn’t ship a whole car and expect automotive board rate. Even if it’s technically accurate. Likewise sending in the whole house with the computer doesn’t get full system rate.
And no, you can’t send the whole tractor when a laptop is built into the dash of the peterbilt.
In reality, it’s rare to have boards that can’t clear Low grade.
