I have pictured a circuit board taken from a desk top computer. Front and back photos. It's obvious it fits and is an Integrated Motherboard. It is the motherboard from the computer. But. My inquiry. So on any given day. Picking this board out of a box of unknown boards. I can see High Peripheral. There are plenty of gold connectors. Enough IC's. A added bonus. No real junk.
Solved the anomaly. What is going on here? Please don't respond. A motherboard is a motherboard.
I feel strongly to submit as High Peripheral. But. I may very well be missing some unknown e-scrapper knowledge.
Comments appreciated.

it's a motherboard... JK JK

Is the motherboard PCB supper thin and flexible like a laptop board? if so you might be able to sneak it in as a laptop board. I think the integrated motherboard class is for those little ITX motherboard with a built in CPU, IDK if larger boards like this one is still a integrated motherboard.

No. It is not flexible. It is strong. Little flex to it. Good information. Austin86. I can accept that the Integrated Motherboard class targeting a specific type of Motherboard.

It is what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol

Motherboards are produced in mass. Every penny that can be saved, will be. Less gold used, cheaper components that get the job done and such. Not to mention how quickly things become obsolete so there's less reason to build for longevity.

Because Boardsort gets tons of material they can usually determine pretty quickly how valuable certain boards are, so in reality an integrated motherboard is an integrated motherboard and not high peripheral because it's an integrated motherboard, it just yields valuable stuff at a lower rate.

Just added to what I said about laptop boards. My understanding that laptop boards are boards form laptops or all in one's that are super thin and flexible with ether a laptop CPU socket or onboard mobile CPU without a socket.

Its worth noting some AIO desktops use the same boards form laptops, we have a bunch of think centers at my day job that have think pad motherboards in them. So in some cases a AIO board can be a laptop board hence why I asked if it was thin/flexible.

You are not wrong, most boards form AIO are made to be as cheap as it can get. Its not to say corners are cut, at least not with HP for the most part, but saving .02 cents from unit when you are shipping millions of units saves a lot. 2 cents saved that's 20k per 1 million units and that's 20k that can go towards a top executive bonus with enough left over to get the assembly line workers a pizza lunch. lol

Taking a good look at this board I see almost no gold on the connectors pins, very few MLCCs, only a couple of ICs most of witch are very small and so on.

The deciding point for me. Will be the note made concerning the Integrated Motherboard category. (No Gold BGA). I looked over the video in High Peripheral a few times. It seems it may squeak into High Peripheral. But. As Marked141 said. " It is what it is". Also. It doesn't have a Gold BGA. Also. It doesn't have any real admirable IC population. But it does have gold on contacts for just about every connector. 3 connectors do not. I use a flashlight when inspecting connectors for gold. I think what made me balk on the evaluation was that it was HP. In my day. Hewlett Packard. That was to be respected. Quality. I figure to stay on track. I will submit as Integrated Motherboard.
