Our website has outgrown the small foundation it was built on over 16 years ago. As Boardsort has grown, so have the demands on the platform — and the challenges that come with being a larger, more well-known site.
What’s contributing to the issues
We’re seeing a mix of normal “growing pains” and more aggressive activity that can stress older systems. This may include:
- Automated bots and scripted traffic scraping content
- Foreign entities attempting brute-force tactics to post spam
- Security and performance challenges that compound as the site grows
- Older code and infrastructure that no longer has strong modern support
Important note about saving your content
While we work through our options, we may need to make some difficult decisions about the direction a new platform will take. Depending on the path forward, the prospect of migrating the entire site may prove difficult due to the age of the original structure.
If there are any files, posts, or information you would like to preserve, now would be the time to do so. We are not making any promises about what will or won’t be migrated until we finalize the plan.
