The first mentioned is an embedded risc board. A power chip. A controller and an ADC. I say peripheral based on the standard of game system and cable box motherboards generally going as peripheral. Much of the population is reduced cost individualisation. Such as 4 individual plastic MTS controllers instead of one newer (relative) TI M360 Controller. For the moment I place it where such boards go. There’s always a chance for an upgrade on site when they get it.
The second mentioned: This controller has the large Motorola MT chip, two Cyclones, and extra memory. The “silver” here is actually a nickel-tin. If memory serves me well this is a 6 layer board, two copper flashings and four nickel tin. Gold pinhole flashing. Here it’s experience with the board. Knowing where they would move it on reception
Again I’ll not just quantity; it’s quality. A small gold finger word slice add in card with 8 plastic AIE 8mb buffers is still worth less than a gold finger ram stick with just 4 ceramic Samsung 16mb chips.
Hopefully that makes sense in my poor explanation.
