 Post subject: Are these $5 a pound?

I have about 7lb of the male pins and about 4lb of the female pins. They are not all the same series but of similar size, mostly 20awg. Most of these pins are for MS3122 series connectors.

They are indeed categorized as gold plated pins, current rate at $5/lb.

If they are all exactly the same pins you might request a scan with the gun so they can determine the actual gold content and possibly give a better payout

Are the female pins gold plated on the inside?

Good question. I believe some parts inside are gold plated. I will check it has been awhile since I had one apart.

Well inside the chrome barrel are gold plated contact fingers. Seeing as these are apparently $5 per pound they are not worth shipping to our host. I will look for someplace in Northern VA.
