1) Gold wire, specifically gold flatwire, will ALWAYS look like this
2) not EVERY black flatwire will be gold laminate.
3) #2 aside, if this is what you have the majority will be gold.

Finally, disregarding fraud ISO labelled BLACK flatwire will be, under the plastic, 23.5kt gold wires. Exactly: all 17304 wire is 23.5999 fine.

The picture is not too good and I'm not sure what exactly you're talking about here. Do you find this kind of wire in audio devices usually, or what? The cassette tape seems to imply a relation. Thanks for the post anyway. I'm new here.

That's a bit holder not a cassette.
Most often you see it in cell phones, tablets, scanners, higher grade lcd tvs and monitors; etc.

There's no cassette tape in the photo. ;)

You'll find this stuff in digital cameras cell phones, tablets, media players, some higher class lcd and plasma TVs. Those kind of places.

Gold breakage on 23k. Or between 40-60% spot
Per ounce by the lb the high end

25-40% on the low end.
Buyers are fairly dispersed but they are out there.
Lots of people ebay this stuff.
