I need clarification on "Modern Smart Phone No Batt No Cover". I'm new and I will be sending in my first box soon. I have some smart phones.

Most of phones I have are sealed - I can't remove the back plate and therefore can't remove the battery. So do these fall under "Any cell phone with battery"?

If the battery is inaccessible, typically iPhones, it falls under that any cell with battery category.

Thanks. I thought that was the case but wanted to be sure. What's the thought on mailing batteries (in phones or otherwise)? Better to discard locally?

Batteries should be shipped via ground if you're going to ship. If you have local options that's probably your best bet. I have one scrap yard near Austin that still pays for them for now, you might ask around at any scrap yards you have.

Almost any home supply or electronics store will accept your electronics batteries for free.
