I'm new to sorting and recycling boards. I am not sure I quite understand what qualifies and doesn't qualify as peripheral boards.

Will the presence of connectors with gold pins increase the value? Or will it decrease because of the weight of the connectors?

Will flat package ic’s make up for weight in the rating of the board?

What is this board? It doesn’t contain much; no ic’s. But it has gold fingers all along one of the longer edges (the black remnants of a ribbon cable are covering many of the gold fingers).

Do LCD’s typically take away value from the board? This display doesn't seem to contain gold, but I have come across LCD's with lots of visible gold in the middle of the layers of glass. In the case of gold LCD's, would it be best to remove the display and process it separately from the board?

What is this board? Does it’s small size effect how it’s categorized? (It came off a motherboard, and has gold fingers. It also has a tiny metal cage being covered up by the sticker.)
