Good afternoon,

I have noticed that a lot of the gold finger cards I have acquired have a plastic fan, a heat sink, and or cables attached to them. I'm not sure if I should remove them or not. I'm afraid the value and the category will change to a mid to low grade board. Would you help me with this?

Thank you.

Kindly regards,
Natalia

You can pull the heatsinks off it will stay as gfc. You can sell them locally at scrapyard. It makes more sense to take it off as you will able to fit more in a box if you are shipping. You would want to be shipping GFC rate rather than aluminum rate.

I like seeing those old ati or nvidia cards. No longer ati - its AMD now.

If you have the means, testing the ATI or NVIDIA cards and selling them on ebay may be more profitable. I've done it before. I sold a working 8800gt and even a broken 8800gt.
