Got through most of my piles and found some boards I had set aside because I wasn't sure if they really fit neatly into a category.

Left bottom, brown board has a good IC population. Left top, the gold pins and contacts and a couple ICs. Middle board I didn't think much of but there are silver teeth on three sides. Right board IC population.

Left, gold??? Middle, peripheral? Right bottom, gold teeth but basically blank board otherwise... Right middle, peripheral? Right top, was really just curious about the black component with the gold legs.

Left bottom, the ICs, gold teeth, red/brown color? Left top, ICs and gold pins/teeth. Right bottom, thought low telco but maybe too much extraneous weight? Right top, a little damaged but I think from a smart thermostat?

Another curiosity question. The black circle are?

Definitely unique. Yes we’re out of class on these
Beige: I’ll cautiously call peripheral. Heavy gold plated pins. A combo of silver solder, some tin, looks mostly lead. It’s borderline.

Brown looks like old A/V boards I send in. Peripheral

Small green midgrade

Large green peripheral, barely. Remove the fuse, nothing else.

——++++——

All peripheral. As for your question I believe it’s a switch.

——++++——

The one with gold fingers is low telco. Rest peripheral.
Do I even ask what the F happened to the semi transparent board. It’s almost like someone skinned an adaptor cable whilst still connected?!?!?!?
——++++——

ICs. Generally knows as bump ICs.

Uhm... I didn't do it.

It's what I get for buying from local scrap yards that don't know what to do with circuit boards, so their customers certainly don't.

So that transparent board has gold teeth on one side of the board after I took the connector off. Still peripheral without the connector attached, yes?

Thanks once again!

You removed the connector and left the gold? Yes still peripheral. And Chris’a new best customer. Lol. ;)

I wasn’t picking on you... just only ever see something like that with lock clamp connectors after a dumb service tech can’t figure out how to push a button or two in. They yank, cable comes loose; pins get left behind. This one has no lock which is why I’m confused.
Out of stupid curiosity... try to pull a male pin out of the female connector. It won’t hurt the grade and if they come out they may be gold pins.
Unless it was some sort of way to add weight (useless) I cannot get my head around leaving them jammed in there

Haha, I scratch my head at so many things I find.

Yes, I just pulled the connector off, it's basically the same as the socket that's on the board (just fewer pins) and they're gold plated pins.
