high i remover the vga ans usb tower still large socket

I don't know with certainty but I would think that they would be okay. I'm basing this on the fact that not every motherboard has all those ports when they're manufactured and I can't specifically remember anyone saying those would impact the grade.

Hopefully someone else can provide a more concrete answer.

Wanted to add, I would not intentionally remove those from any motherboards that still have them, even if it doesn't affect the value it takes off weight.

i now i lose some weight but i can fit more boards in with them off

Gotcha, I don't ship motherboards. Definitely wait to see what ccussins finds out from Chris before you knock more off.

Yes. This is acceptable.

We definitely frown upon removing items from motherboards, particularly when there are gold pins involved but this is an acceptable procedure.

By doing so you are not gaining any additional value. A large socket MB pays far better pound for pound than those USB towers ever would by themselves so nothing gained by the seller here.

The obvious benefit is purely for space. You can fit almost twice the number of MB's in a box with that simple modification which is why we have no problem with it.
