RAM that looks like that would normally be Shielded Ram except those have metal across the entire length of the stick. When you remove the heatsink it looks like what you have there but the "CPU" chip is bare at that point. I imagine this would be regular RAM with or without the heatsink since it's so small. If you want to make sure you might check to see if the heatsink will pull off but again I think it's probably okay so don't try to hard.

The second is a voltage regulator, should be high peripheral.

I'm not sure where to place the third one. Probably wait for ccussins or someone else to weigh in but, my thoughts:
The board to the side would be at least low telco on it's own (possibly high telco), the smaller boards look like they'd be midgrade and the larger board everything is connected to is largely empty except for the gold fingers so I'm thinking low peripheral at best there. Together I want to high peripheral but it seems like a stretch with all the lower grade weight.

thanks for the input. on the ram, the picture is missleading, those are stickers on the left and right. the only metal is the center and it looks like a small flat pack with metal cap. i will put it with regular ram. on the third one, i was hoping the boards would seperate but they are all soldered together. each of the small boards had a large heatsink screwed to them so i was expecting something different to be underneath....

Sorry poor phrasing on my part. I meant the shielded RAM normally has metal all the way across. Yours doesn't, which is why I think it's safe in the regular gold finger RAM category. Still, if the metal comes off easily that would probably make Boardsort happy (if it feels like it's ripping the chip up stop).

Voltage regulators regulate the power, so lots of energy moving in them, so they get a fancy heatsink.

They looked soldered which is why I said wait. May or may not be worth the trouble of separating, especially if you have lots more than those two.

I agree with marked141. The ram stick would go in Gold Fingered Ram and the voltage regulator would be High Grade Peripheral. I will check with Chris on the last board.

Chris says it can go High Grade Peripheral.
