Generally, if it's soldered to the mobo don't remove it; RAM, expansion cards, CPU battery, heatsinks should be removed.
1) Metal sockets will still be metal sockets even if you remove the metal. At least that's my understanding.
2) Just the battery needs to come off, the battery socket would be worth less on it's own if I had to guess.
3) Not sure exactly what you're asking but none of that should be removed.
4) Not all mobos have them so you should be okay to remove; not sure if there's any cost benefit to doing so. Do remove the plastic (black and green) holddown for the CPU heatsink.
