Do I need to remove the aluminum cover and what would these be classified as?

In almost all cases except brown power boards, you need to remove the aluminum heatsinks, batteries, steel brackets and faceplates. Also, any metal covers, and RF shielding. If you did that to these boards, and probably removed that big black capacitor, these might make it into the High grade peripheral category. You might want a second on that though. Some would say low grade peripheral.
