 Post subject: Slot processor?

If not a slot processor then what? Trying to learn so if not could you do your best to explain why so I know for next time thankyou

No, just a gold finger card without bracket. It does not actually have the right components for a slot processor. Ex. No cpu.

As far as I know, a slot processor is a very specific classification. I've never seen anything but slot processors categorized as such. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slot_1

What you have there is a gold finger card with no fan, bracket or heatsink. It's actually and old 8 port Rocket modem. I had a server setup with two of those back in the days of dial-up.

Thanks guys so I have 3 two like this and one with a cpu so the one with the cpu socket is a slot processor

Still not a slot processor. Most slot processors had the CPU soldered on and not socketed.

That's the link to the example of a slot processor posted by boardsort. If it doesn't look exactly like that, with some slight variations in arrangement of chips and the main chip possibly being ceramic, then it's likely not a slot processor.
