Everything that bitsandbytes said is correct.
In fact, we would not buy the Li Ion battery if the cells have been removed (or buy just the cells) the entire unit needs to be intact.
The LEADS MUST BE TAPED OVER with any kind of non-conductive tape.
Please be careful handling these batteries, they are potential bombs and can accidently explode if they were to short out. We had a fairly serious explosion in our facility a few years ago. There are still burn and puncture holes in the 40 foot ceiling insulation when a bucket of Li Ions decided to go off. No one was seriously injured but it was a scene straight out of the movie "Apocalypse Now".
