Hi, I have a bunch of trackpad PCBs from laptops. OSCAR returns it as nonscrap. My guess is low grade peripheral? And for the couple that I couldn't removed the plastic/glass from, I'm assuming low/midgrade PCB?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Cleaned trackpads are typically high peripheral.

Glass covered ones I recommend heating the glass side to weaken the adhesive and hopefully avoid breaking the glass, just slide a razor or flathead screwdriver between the board and glass once heated to separate. Leaving the glass lowers to low grade and you'll need to tape over the glass to prevent shards getting everywhere.

Leaving plastic might lower to low peripheral. Usually those are easy to remove so I just peel them off

IMO that would be a LGP. As much as Id love to tell you HGP I just don't see it whenever I am objectively eyeballing these on my end.

Do a search, trackpads have been high peripheral in most cases for a long time. (Prior to the high/low split they were peripheral which covers high peripheral now)

Great, thank you. There are a few that are definitely less populated than others so I think I'll split it between the two based on what I see.

I was able to get the plastic and glass off in most cases but a couple of them are really stubborn.
