This came from a Vertical Wave server. How would this be classified as-is, and how about if I removed the yellow transformers? Thanks!

The amount of Cu transformers/coils on the board puts it in High per actually.

Remove the transformers and you have Low Tel for sure.

EDIT* Do some number crunching, putting it in High per without removing material, might give you a better payout.

Another note to take, there's a lot of empty space. Keep that in mind when thinking of removing items for upgrade. Space makes a difference when there's no material to capitalize on and you're removing maybe the only thing it gave it weight/value/upgrade.

This is just me personally and what I would do but... I would believe this is a proper candidate for the board being cut in half with a jigsaw. The left-hand side dominated with IC Chips, until just to the right of those MLCC's would absolutely be a HGT board. I would also consider removing those capacitors just because then it will be a nice flat board with chips and connectors and no junk. The lefthand side dominated with transformers, even with all of them removed looks pretty worthless IMO... I would remove that connector on the other side and put it with gold connector ends if it has gold and the rest of the board without any transformers would be a mid-grade board.

If you aren't chasing exact sorting "maybe" that board with just transformers and capacitors removed would be high grade peripherial...It's just the value to me is on the left-hand side only.

Remember, cutting boards isn't always the best thing to do. Taking what is thought to be the best or worst off the board, doesn't always mean upgrade.
Taking the caps off really doesn't do much since it's just a few. Even if the board was cut, not quite enough to make High tel, it would make Low tel.

Turning in at High per would prob get you an extra pound in whole.
