I would like to sell the pictured optical components to Boardsort. I haven't contacted Chris yet. But. It stands to reason. The composition of the lense could be an issue. I could easily take a hammer to them. Smash out the lenses. And. HOPE FOR THE BEST. Which I do not think quite makes it. Comments appreciated.

I don't think the glass in these would be anymore problematic than in ceramic ICs with the window.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I believe boardsort actually has a class for these.

I asked Chris for an XRF scan. I was instructed to send them in or a sample and he will scan them and give me a price. I have never done this before. I wasn't given a class. I will probably send them in when I submit some escrap. But keep them separate and labled with a note. Mailing them separately doesn't make sense.

Unless you have a huge amount and are shopping around for the best price, sending in a sample probably isn't necessary. Just do what you're planning on, keep them separate in a normal shipment and make it clear that you have items to scan.
