Found this board with the pictured Motorola chip. It doesn’t match the Motorola chip category on the price list. How should I handle this? Separate and scrap or should I leave it on the board and scrap it as part of the board?

Interesting. At minimum the chip should be IC class. Are the contacts all copper or is the gold not coming through in the image?

Probably need Chris (Boardsort) or lostinlodos to assess it.

Lighting makes a difference ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My best guess for ceramic with gold is pentium/mac ceramic but since it's not gold "pins" that may not be correct, Chris or lost would be more certain.

I did the same, under ICs, ceramic with gold fell under pentium/mac ceramic and is the closest fit to me.

But since there are more categories now and the chip has no pins I don't guarantee that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2016 is when Lostinlodos posted the CPU identification post. His last comment was that it was 5 years old. He should update. It would be nice to see an update. But. He got to be the busiest escrapper anywhere. With priorities beyond our apparent comprehension. Trying to steady your hand on the Tiger's tail in this ever changing electronic industry. It's something I don't envy.
Here to learn like everybody else.
