I don't understand what Im doing wrong. I cant see any photos on forum - says Im not authorized
I cant upload photos either to get ID help. It pretends its going to but just doesn't do it. says uploading for hours. 1 mb picture is all
Searched for answers but no luck. I just need advice on a few boards. Maybe its my phone? I dunno, pictures loaded before tho & I haven't changed any of my settings. also videos wont either

Are you a registered member? If not. You will not be able to do quite a few things. Namely. Some of the things you just mentioned.

I am & I could see the pics before I registered. Im more concerned about not being able to load my photo because I want to confirm a few boards before I mail in my box.

You must first Choose File then Add File. It is a 2 step process.

Sometimes the site does weird things, Lostinlodos made some suggestions here

If the upload process is causing confusion you hit choose file:


Based on your computer/phones options select from files/take an image/etc.:


Once you've picked or taken the image you want, you can add a name or description and select add file:


Note* a poor internet connection can cause uploads to fail at this point, be sure you have a good signal or connect to wifi.

So its got to be my connection. My area is very poorly served & my house in particular is a dead zone Although now I can see images again on the posts occasionally. Iv decided Im just gonna send the things Im certain of for now.
Theres really no competition for other internet services. I live in a small town in Montana. Anyways just posting to say I appreciate the help. I didn't solve the problem but it did clarify what the problem is. I dont ever upload things so I didnt realize the obvious of why it kept failing

Two suggestions if you want to try and figure out the scrap value still:

Search for the board online and give a link.

Or describe the board, how big it is, what it came from, what's on it, etc...

I had the same problem. For me, it turned out to be a resolution issue. The file was too large. To fix it, I resized the picture using "paint". I reduced the size and was able to load it, the second time around. If you need to know how, follow these steps:
1. right click on your photo and choose "open with"
2. choose "paint"
3. at the top look for "Resize and Skew" (it vaguely resembles a Picture in Picture icon)
4. Choose "pixels" and adjust the Horizontal and Vertical to something smaller. I believe I used 1102x1080
5. Resave your new photo
6. Try to upload to the forum again.

True! Image size can cause issues, if you're on a phone, instead of pc, and get that you can sometimes take a screenshot of the picture you took and end up with a lower resolution that will upload
