this had one of them readout displays attached to it, and so I'm guessing it'll go as High Peripheral? Just seems like an awful lot of gold spaces on the backside of it to go into that class, I guess. Seems to me it should be something higher with all of that on there???

Thanks for letting me know your thoughts.

High peripheral seems right. Certainly not higher.

Seeing gold doesn't automatically make make things super valuable. There's different ways for gold to be applied to boards and in different thicknesses which may mean there's almost no recoverable gold on some boards or a nice thick plating. The gold here doesn't look super thick. Then you have the rest of the board to deal with, the board itself looks pretty cheap, just one layer of tracings on the top and bottom, but two large ICs.

I'd like Chris or another seasoned "vet" to respond because I wouldn't even necessarily say this is a high grade peripheral. I am curious as well because I am some boards that are similar and I throw them in the low grade peripheral pile.

I could rephrase, "high peripheral at best".

I am trusting the OP a bit here as the picture is just enough out of focus with a bit of glare that the gold color may not be truly indicative of the gold content. I will say that these typically go either low or high peripheral depending on the specific board.
