I noticed there is a lot of spam posts and threads lately. Is there a report spam button or a way to have the posts deleted/blocked?

Lostinlodos usually gets them outside of the what is it section pretty regularly.

My grades are my own opinion and not an official grade from Boardsort

I hit most spam within 12-24 hours outside of the what is it topic.


Some people send me batch emails of spam links for that topic and if I get them I’ll hit them within 13 hours or so (except during typhoons).

BTW, if you intend to start sending link lists please have more than 1000 self posts. I don’t want to get flooded with hundreds of nearly identical lists from every user and spend 16 hours clicking dead and removed links over and over ;)

Message boards are very complicated to keep spammers out of. I was a member of a message board long ago that tightened up the security on new members and posting to combat spam and nobody new joined because the process was so frustrating. I think lost is the only admin/mod on this board!
