And here is almost certainly not a buyers market.
still can't get thru to boardsort phone. chris does not have a office person? i really can't imagine. seriously, i really cant imagine running this biz with bigger warehouse, more bussiness and no one in office for customers? am i dialing wrong #? 4404970222?
about vintage avionics, reading old posts here, not every one is a full time scrapper, and some might be interested in individual parts that are hard or expensive to find. scrapping might just happen to be a small part of their endeavers. there are some really interesting parts here from thousands of volt generating modules, crt flybacks, microwave generating assymblies, and you name it. this forum has some very intelligent people with who knows what projects. are there buyers here? most of the avionics, no chance for chris to buy, but there are alot of boards that he might take if i could chat with him for a few min even thru email. as for yourself and the other smart ones here, this stuff might fit on your processing shelf.
myself? i 'steal' things on online auctions. bids so low it boggles the mind. all on the up n up of course. no reserve auctions.
i come across computers and such. as such, i'm sorting and stacking ram and cpu's which i'd like to send to boardsort, but, i can't seem to get ahold of them.
no phone answer, no email replies.
3 years ago, when i signed up here, i'd come across a bunch of server boards and thought to self process. stupid idea for me. burnout happens pretty quick when one actually attempts it. a lot of time and hard work. as my cusin says, ''if it was easy, everyone would do it.'' ain't that the truth.
so back to today. 5 pounds of ram i took the fingers off of back then, will cost me 160$ today compared to whole ram sticks.
and i'm sorting out pounds of cpu's and gold corner bga's.
and i have the white and pink with gold cap and gold leg and not ic chips. the $300+ a pound ones.
but no phone or email response from boardsort except auto responses from following board here.
whats up? i've been owner operator most of my 62 years, and you can't run a biz without customer comunication. or maybe i'm wrong.
