These suck.
If I can do so safely, I try to clip them one end at a time carefully with a mini bolt and nut cutter
If not, I desolder them.

I had a small mountain of gps tracking collars that each had a soldered lithium battery. Clipped one end at a time like lostinlodos said and then put them in rows on tape. Wrapped each row up made a brick and then wrapped it in plastic and took it to my Battery drop off.

Also always carefully crack open that type of dip switch, the red one.

You may have silver or gold springs (melt value), or gold plated balls (clean gold pins), or even gold balls.

I'd probably tin snip that portion of board out(well, no, *I* would desolder it because I have the kit but if I was someone who didn't have the skills/tools I'd cut it out.)

Oh..., just grab your hammer & a chisel/punch, then just give it a solid tap up underneath of them & they'll just pop right off of there. Super easy to do.
Be sure to wrap them in paper towels before throwing them in your dumpster though.

/\

No No, I'm just Kidding. Probably definitely shouldn't do it anywhere close to what I just said LOL. I think either de-soldering or cut/break that part of the board off would be your best way of doing it.?.?.. Unsure really, I don't recall coming across any like that before so new to me too.
Goodluck whatever method you use.
