Hello. Need to check my grading on the following boards. Number 1 was a motherboard with a slot processor. Would this be a motherboard or backplane? Number 2 thru 8 are from cd/dvd drives. Lastly number 9 are the all considered gold finger boards? Thanks for the help in advance.

if everybody marked and grouped their boards so neatly you would really spoil mr.lost...lol ...even a rookie could grade these..good job

1) large socket , per consensus
7&8) cd/DVD boards (all old cd rom boards)
2, 3, 4, 5, 6) cd/DVD boards
9) all gold finger cards; middle left pull the ram out of the slot. Sell separate class for more money


The motherboard is debatable. That's a riser board unit, (or maybe slot F) not a slot board. The socket (slot) is smaller than a slot cpu board. So I'm going to say small socket; though if you have a small bit of time see if one of the other mods or mls want to weigh in since I rarely see these boards myself.

Picture Number 1 is a Large Socket Slot Processor Motherboard. You can see the pair of holes at the end of the slot that held the plastic processor locking clips and the single holes lined up directly below the slot. That held the plastic locking clip for the processor heat sink. I've done many hundreds of these style boards.

the holes for the missing socket clips were the first thing i noticed... that is a large socket motherboard.

Must have been an F ; good eye people.

Either that or it's really been so long since I've seen an Intel slot board I've forgotten how small they were compared to slot B that I see for servers. Which could very well be true.
Not that anyone beyond me really cares.
