Top, if the IC legs are gold, peripheral, anything else low grade.
Bottom, seeing gold pins, peripheral.

I've always put my silver diode mice boards in midgrade.

But yes if the pins are gold they can get peripheral.

All ball mice boards after 1985 will be low grade no matter what.
Any mouse before 85 needs to be reviewed individually but chances are it's worth more historically, whole, even doa with a bullet hole in it.
