Simply put; because they're not ram. They're power boards If you remove ALL the copper coils, aluminium and steel you can put them in gold finger card. Looks like a few can go there already
These get posted quite frequently; usually from dell, hp, and Cisco servers. In general there's no ram on the boards (the ICs are ROMs) and they're standard pcb Not ram pcb.
Finally the generalisation for peripheral and midgrade is because in many cases I've seen them with the spreaders riveted through the board and not screwed or glued. And first time someone breaks a board trying to snap rivets it's gonna be an argument.
