Hi all,

Have a few that have stumped me.

1. Thick gold plating on both sides, but nothing else. Cut one piece and included it in the photo to try and show a bit of cross section. Board measure about 20x5 in. And weighs 240g.

2. Bin of mostly gold pins in these plastic holders. There are also some random pieces of junk like components and other metal/plastic/garbage, not much but its mixed in there. Any way to separate it besides picking it all apart? There are also some small eprom chips in there.

3. Is this blank RAM? Gold is on both sides. If so, can i leave the full strips together?

4. More blank boards with gold contacts. Not as much as #1 so wondering if it would be different.

Have had this conversation with lost and Boardsort. For reference:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19554&p=35735&hilit=Blanks#p35735
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19617&p=35966&hilit=Blanks#p35966

Basically the blanks will all be low grade unless Chris sees something to know he can get something out of them. Or if you can find someone else set up to recover the material that's there, there is potential the boards are worth more than low grade. Also, gold is much higher than it was for those conversations so possibly worth the effort currently.

The box of random stuff. I see at least ICs, capacitors, pins, gold plated pins and ribbon cables. Not sure how Boardsort would but that but it won't be much because it's mixed.
Pins are likely brass with a nickel plating, or gold plating for those. There may be some steel pins if the manufacturer could get away with that, which would be troublesome as nickel is also magnetic.
Capacitors are likely aluminum.
ICs have their own category on the price list.
Ribbon cable probably just goes into low grade insulated wire.

Not sure how to directly reply to your comment marked141, but I hope you see this.

Thank you for taking the time to have a look and give input on my boards. What you said makes sense and i appreciate the reference to the other threads you provided.

Any thought on the RAM looking boards? Am I in Blank RAM category or no?

Full disclosure: I'm in Canada so shipping to Boardsort is not an option, so I don't want to bother Chris, I'm just seeking general guidance from the community.

Appreciate all the help.
