I shipped out my first sale this afternoon but a video i watched on YouTube said to send an email to Chris with the tracking information. Is this absolutely necessary everytime i ship out to them or something that person does?

I would definately do it. I mail in all my submissions. It is an overall reasonable request. Why not do it? I see no reason to not play ball with the business your involved with.

Straight from the "Before shipping us anything" post:

'-ALWAYS GET AND SAVE YOUR TRACKING INFO

When you ship, always ship with tracking and keep your number! In fact, you should email it to us right away. We will likely not respond to that email, but it is a good idea to have it on record.'

So it's highly recommended to send them your tracking but if for some reason you don't I don't think it'll prevent you being paid. If something were to happen though and Chris needed to check why they hadn't received your shipment yet, having the tracking info handy could be helpful.

Hopefully you included an invoice along with your name, address, and payment method.

I guess i overlooked the before sending us anything post, but i do agree its a good habit to email them the information i just hate to bombard people with emails. I also did include an invoice in the box when i shipped it out and attached a copy of it to the email that i sent. I also included tracking number, type of package, estimated delivery date and return address info in the email.
